How do you find these treasures?

Julia spends a lot of time traveling the world to meet with our jewelers. Throughout the 5 years since she launched Bonito, she has been behind the scenes learning more about vintage jewelry and slowly curating pieces from all parts of the world and different time periods to bring together our CURIOSO line.

We count on our network of trusted dealers, small towns outside of Sydney, and antique centers in Australia and Europe to find treasures. Every piece in the CURIOSO line is analyzed by our team and our network of trusted gemological experts so we can confidently assess gemstones, metals, and diamonds. We try to estimate the age of each piece by verifying its hallmarks, construction techniques, historical design, and materials. We are obsessed with researching and sharing the history of each jewel with you.

Can I resize my vintage ring?

Yes, most vintage rings can be resized unless we say otherwise. We charge $50 for resizing services done by our partner jewelers in Sydney. Simply purchase the vintage piece and add to your order note the size you wish to have. We'll contact you to confirm this with you before we send your ring for resizing. Please allow 1-3 weeks to receive your resized ring.

You can choose to get your ring sized by a jeweler in your area, but be sure to find someone who is experienced in antique restoration.

Returns & Exchanges Vintage Pieces

Returns and exchanges are accepted on vintage pieces that haven't been resized or modified in any way. Once a piece is altered all sales are FINAL and returns and exchanges won't be accepted.

RETURNS

We accept returns up to 14 days after receipt of your order.

We do not accept returns on the following:

Vintage pieces that have been resized or modified for you.
Pierced earring styles for hygiene reasons.
Items purchased on sale or with a promo code (excluding newsletter signup).
All sale purchases are FINAL SALE and are not valid for refund or exchange unless deemed faulty.

Every piece of Bonito is covered by our one-year warranty for orders placed via our online store or in our Sydney showroom.

All of our jewelry is hand-finished according to the highest standard and is quality checked before we send it to you.

This warranty is effective from the date of delivery and covers manufacturing faults and defects in materials, including loss of any set stones from jewelry, in which case the item will be replaced or repaired. We will cover the cost related to replacing your damaged item.

This warranty does not cover loss of jewelry, chain breakage, and general wear and tear. General wear and tear includes tarnishing and fading of plated jewelry, and therefore, is not covered by warranty. Bonito is not responsible for the loss of jewelry and cannot deem an item faulty which cannot be assessed.

To ensure your Bonito pieces stay bright and shiny for as long as possible, keep them away from water, chemicals such as perfume and chlorine, and store them in a cool dry place in an individual pour of box to avoid your jewelry tangling or scratching each other.

If we are unable to replace the original piece, we can offer a store credit of the value of the original piece.
